However, I also have a maths exam on my birthday. This does not, needless to say, make me a happy bunny.

Now, everything will be just fine so long as the 'take exams in college' thing just happens to all the exams even though I don't get extra time for maths. If they make me walk all the way to Senate House for 9am on my birthday for a maths exam, I will be even more unhappy.

Yes, I know everyone else has to put up with things happening miles away at 9am. That's not the point. (Or, well, it is the point, but I'm selfish, mmkay? And lazy.)

Today was about half as productive as it should have been, and I think that's a little on the optimistic side. After spodding from 8am to noon, I finally dragged myself to town in order to find walking shoes and a protractor. I managed the latter but the former only come in suede and Expensive. I wish I could just buy Another Pair Of The Shoes I Already Own And Like Very Much. I would pay quite a lot for them. However, nobody appears to be making anything remotely similar right now.

Then I went off to Cockroft Four to get Java Tick 4 done. After getting hopelessly side-tracked with making a 'better' (read - hacky, ugly and terrible) version of what I was doing, and working out what was making bluej hang (wouldn't close, wouldn't be killed, still seemed to work except for the closing bit...), I realised that it was almost 3pm, when I'd signed up to do the CLC 24-7 prayer thing for an hour because nobody else had as of that morning.

I went down to 25 Portugal Place, this time not getting hopelessly lost or nervous, and followed the signs down to the basement, where two people were finishing off the hour before. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to pray for a whole hour, my current track record with prayer not being great, but I was determined to try. The others packed up and left, and a few minutes passed; then a lady I hadn't really met before came in and was very surprised to find me there, as she'd put her name down for this slot seeing it was empty on the lists up on the walls in the room (I'd only signed up that morning).

She bustled off again, and I thought nothing of it, and continued; wrote lots of stuff because the act of writing stuff down makes me think of things to pray about. Was just finishing a bit of poetry when she returned, apologised for being abrupt, and we sat and prayed together (mostly for the Summer Blast event and unity between Fusion and CICCU). She introduced herself and asked me who I was, and at about twenty past four she left again. I only noticed at that point that it was twenty past four, but decided that it was obvious the 4pm person wasn't coming along and so I should stay. Wrote some more things and pinned stuff up around the room, and about 5pm someone who was not the person who had signed up arrived, and then Geoff who had arrived, and we arranged to meet up this evening about cell group stuff and I left.

Went to Sainsburies to buy pitta bread. No pitta bread existed. The shelves were also pitifully empty of pre-sliced bread in bags, which might also have done. I got hot cross buns and white wheat tortillas, because they were bread-like substances with reasonably long sell-by-dates. Realised as I got to the checkout I probably should have got some cheese or ham or something to make lunches with. Looks like I'm in town tomorrow visiting Marika anyway, so will get some then.

Got back to college full of good intentions about tidying my room and doing some Probability work. Spodded. Ate. Spodded some more. It's now suddenly become 10:15pm and the back of my neck is making 'get off the computer now' noises.

I suggest you get the location of the Maths Exam clarified ASAP, since it will be more likely to be changeable earlier....
