chess: (holiday holiday holiday time!)
Right. I appear to be down to five people for the new year's party that I've been trying to organise quietly so as to not have screaming hoard(e)s descend on my house. However, I think I would like a few more screaming hoard(e)s, so if anybody would like a New Year's Party, email me for details. (As this is a public post, I'd like to make it clear that I reserve the right not to give them to you, especially if I don't know who on earth you are :-).)

I apologise for the woefully short notice, but my parents didn't like the thought of that many people turning up...

Just a quick note to confirm I'll be showing up and to ask if you want anything bringing. Or rather if you'd object. I feel the urge to cook and bring some form of foodstuff along.

I'm afraid that having looked through reciepe books and worked out what can and cannot be transported in a backpack (as well as cooked fairly quickly as we have guests tomorrow) the best I can come up with are fried sardine sandwiches. Now I happen to think that those would work wonderfully. Others may disagree. I suggest you work on the principle that I won't be bringing anything but a willing and able pair of hands to help. If I happen to show up with a little more then all the better.
