Yesterday I went for a long walk. I walked for three hours, just randomly around places. Then I got two busses home. I thought about making a map, because it's nice to find places to walk where there aren't any dogs loose and the paths are all clear. I decided that I'd do that next time I went for a walk, though, because I couldn't remember things clearly enough. Today it's raining. I'll probably go for a little walk so my parents are happy that I haven't just spent all day on the computer, though.
Am working on really trite and boring webpages, listing all my Rondak's Portal characters, because I have lots of descriptions and histories that I quite like all written up and it seems a shame to waste them. Mostly they'll be unutterably boring, though. Oh well.
I need to find things to do that are not on the computer so that my parents don't get worried.

Date: 2003-07-25 07:00 am (UTC)From:1) Ruins your eyesight
2) Gives you RSI
3) Puts you in a bad mood due to negative ions
4) Makes you fat from not moving enough
That kind of thing, anyway.

Date: 2003-07-25 07:14 am (UTC)From:1. in over 15 years of pretty extream computer use my eyes have only gotten worse by one degree and in only one eye. so i dont think its going to hugely destroy your site ;-)
2. Ermm someone tried to explain what that is to me but i didnt really understand but ill addmitt thats a fair point.
3. Ermmm well they mite have a point as i tent to belive what the BOFH says about this but he also says that lots of negative ions maintain your realist attitude ;-)
4. Well to be entirely honest you have a fantastic figure and i know a few women who would kill to have a figure like that. you do more exersise then my rugby mate dan. Who is a hooker and nees to be fit and faster then us porps. So i personally dont think that you will suffer much from a few full days of computing a week ;-)
This is the advice of Dr Vannacutt though i hold no formal medical degree i like to think my advice is amusing if not usefull. And yes point 4 was a blatant compliment but i have no other way of answering it ;-)
Whats you up to for the rest of the day?
Have fun and take care.

Date: 2003-07-26 12:17 pm (UTC)From:I suppose they put you in a bad mood because they're 'negative ions'. If there are negative ions comming off the screen presumably somewhere there's positive ions comming off, and by the above logic they're just bound to make you happy, so you just need to get some other monitors orientated to bathe you in them.
I'm going out a limb here but ... would it be Julia that shared this objection to the comptuer with you?
1I'm talking about stereotypes, so it's going to be a stereotype, I know there's not neccessarily any link between the two and blah blah blah unjustified generalisations blah.
