Yes, Matrix: Reloaded kicks ass. Plenty of it. (And, y'know, it takes quite something to kick a donkey, because you know it'll kick back; then again, M:R probably kicked it with a full clip from a semi-automatic, and hence that's one donkey that'll be doing no kicking again...)
Um. Yes. Anyway.
Today I was attacked by scary people and powercuts. (Scary people = the windowcleaner (I hate windowcleaners. I drew the curtains on him. I just can't stand being watched.) and the washing-machine repair man (5 points if you remember the obscure quotation dealing with washing-machine repair men). The latter was actually very nice and polite, but I was still terrified. Bah.)
The powercuts were just annoying. Apparently Sainsburys caught fire though, which was mildly amusing. They were trying to switch to a back-up generator to keep their frozen stuff frozen (Tesco's were busy chucking theirs out when my mother got there, because it'd been 'defrosted' an hour, and they couldn't sell it even though it was fine and people kept begging them to) and suddenly there were big clouds of smoke coming out of the back of Sainsburys, and they had to evacuate everyone. This included one of my mother's co-workers, who was very upset because she'd just done her entire week's shopping and only had two items left to go through, and had to leave it all there :-(.

Date: 2003-05-30 04:09 pm (UTC)From:A good tip for dealing with washing machine repair men. Get a book on the workings of a washing machine so that you know when hes lying to you and then you can take all the fun out of his job ;-)
I still havent found anyone to see matrix reloaded with. My friend already had a dvd quality piret of it but id rather see it in the cinema. though i did see the first one on piret first and it didnt spoil my enjoyment.
cant help you with the window washe though unless him falling off his ladder would amuse you a bit? Cos my window cleaner is a really nice man who i have known since i was a kid.
Have a nice day

Also the hole replacing the brushes bit. This is where my skill lies with electrical and electronics jobs. Brushes do ware out because its a pretty crude way of doing things but its either wire brushes or some sort of carbon blocks.
But its fairly easy to replace and hes making alot of money for not much work. and having fixed a couple i know it dont take more then an hour to get the back off of one and get to the moter ;-)
Hope that has helped a bit.
Its far far far toooo hot at the moment. Could you turn the sun down a bit? Or just tilt the earth so we get a nice 20 degreas c all year round?
Have a nice day?
