I still don't see how your friending me would bring me into contact with people on your friends list. Are you in fact not asking whether you can friend me (of course you can, if the entry is public I obviously don't mind who's reading it), or whether if you friend me I'll friend you?
In summary you're entirely welcome to friend me, but I make no promises about reading your posts whether you do or not ;-).
