On a more positive note, I got to help out with the littlekids at church today - the person who was meant to be the second-person for the primary-infants group didn't turn up, so Olive came over and tried to whisper to me about it in the service, but I've never been good with hearing whispers so I just went out with her and after that I couldn't really refuse, which is good because it was just a being-around and helping-out kind of thing and I quite enjoyed it and it took me out of the service where apparently they had a vaguely heated debate about Harry Potter and whether it was evil or not - one of the elders was trying to say that it depended on the kid's ability to seperate fantasy and reality and whether they were impressionable in that area and that kinda thing, and some ppl were denouncing the whole thing, and so on. So I'm glad I wasn't there to hear all that.

Why do some people want to use religion as a mechanism by which they can equate fun and amusement with evil? Can't we just enjoy ourselves a little for once and watch a film...
