Eep, haven't updated for *ages*
Wednesday I can barely remember. Thursday I think the main event was getting screwed up about Stats, and generally pointlessly down, annoyed with Helena about her messing about in the Physics prac, that kind of day. Crowded House on Thursday evening was okay, and I thought it was worthwhile 'cos I got to talk to JJ about the CU thing on Friday that I wanted her to come and help me with.
Then Friday. General Studies was fall-asleep boring, with everyone packed in (I'm *so* glad I have friends now, 'cos Sath and Helena saved me a seat) the common room (which is _so_ not big enough to hold even all of the lower sixth, let alone the upper sixth too) listening to various people mumble on about 'Community Service' projects. Thankfully I was listening enough to work out that Dr Stallard would let people get out of their obligation in return for some IT odd-jobs around school, so I promptly went and volunteered for that (well, at the end of lunchtime after all kinds of things actually, but only one other person had done so before me and Dr Stallard seemed quite amenable to having two). In my first free, I did most of the Economics poster-thing we were meant to be doing (bah, display-work in the sixth form, they should get Y7s to do this kind of thing! except they don't take Economics...), and was rather thankful the library computers have very quiet keyboards, because at 11am there was that 3-minute-silence thing which would have driven me crazy had I not been able to just get on with work and mostly ignore it (browsing webpages with the keyboard because the mouse click is too loud is quite... interesting, tho). (I'd have gotten away with it completely had there not been a lower-school class in there...)
Then PE failed to happen (the gym was full of stuff for the DofE expedition that was apparently about to happen) so I wandered around the school with Helena for a while, then we decided to go eat lunch before lunchtime. When lunchtime started I really oughta have told Helena where I was going, but I *had* already told her earlier in the day so I just disappeared while she was readinng - she didn't mention it later so I don't think she was annoyed. So off I went to the CU thing.
Apparently our school CU gets precisely 3 people most days, and two of them are the ppl who run it. There were a fair few Y7s who turned up, but there always is at the first party thing and then they drift away. There was also a youthworker present, but he didn't seem too bothered that there was usually only 3 ppl at the CU and the mess it's in. More encouragingly, the new Stats teacher, Mr Adams, came along, and we discussed my idea of a questionnaire - I must get one made up and take it along to next week's meeting, to see if we can get him to get it past people so it can be mentioned in assembly or put into registers or something. A lot less encouragingly, JJ failed to show, grrr. She has some explaining to do next time I see her...
Today I have a schedule! Yes, I'm (apparently) organised for once! (It'll never last.)
Anyway, enough of my pointless ramblings for a bit.
