Nicholas is playing lots of World of Warcraft. I am jealous.

In a vague attempt to make my sleep patterns work again, I got up at 7:30am yesterday and today. Unfortunately I didn't get to sleep until 2am either day (not through lack of going to bed, just through Not Being Sleepy).

Yesterday I did spectacularly little. I sat at my computer attempting to pick up the lyrics to Nightwish songs (a dismal failure which has left me with bits of Nemo very stuck in my head still without correct lyrics or proper ordering) and playing Griddlers (http://www.griddlers.net). I did just about manage to wash some clothes, but I had meant to have a bath and tidy up a bit, which didn't happen.

I finally got my hands on World of Warcraft for a little while last night when Nicholas had gone to bed but I still couldn't get to sleep. It is very pretty. Hopefully the wide range of possible starting points and the generic nature of the quests will stop me getting bored and frustrated with it in the manner I normally get bored with computer games (i.e. having to repeat the first section over and over because I have lost my save games / it's been ages since I played and I don't want to play the same character as I did last time or I don't think I can pick up the plot threads again). Also, it bears more than a passing resemblance to Diablo II, which I'm only bored with because it has a very limited number of maps and I've been over them so many times. If the CUTT guild gets off the ground, that will also be useful, although I'm slightly concerned that I might want to run a tabletop campaign over the most likely group-questing time.

Most of my week was quite hectic on account of getting up at 9:30am, and hence not getting home from work until 7pm or so, only just in time on those days when I had something in the evenings (Albatross and 'Growth Group' (church small group thing)). Fortunately I didn't have to cook tea that often, because I've been trying to cut down on the amount of food I'm eating and hence didn't have a proper tea when I'd been fed a big lunch at work.

Also, don't undercook tuna. Bits of it taste really awful and I had a bout of Stomach Badness in the night after eating it, which might not have been related but may well have been.

Tuna is meant to be served slightly undercooked, like steak. Good quality tuna can be eaten raw, something to do with the bacteria not being able to penetrate the fibres of the meat. However, if the tuna hadn't been washed before cooking and it was fairly old and merely waved in front of a frying pan, I would expect stomach badness.

I would like to add not overcooking tuna (like wot I did), because it tastes like leather. But yes.

WoW is good (fsvo good) and don't worry about wanting to do other things that affect your status with guilds - it's not great trouble to play in random groups without guilds, I got to 60 on my first char without even joining one, and you'll frequently get asked by people if you want to join their guild, so if one whines that you're not raiding with them, just move on.

And if you're on silvermoon or kul tiras, let me know.

My tuna was delicious and did not afflict me with stomach badness.
