chess: (doing some serious work)
With fifteen seconds to spare, I handed in, well, *most* of the stuff we were meant to hand in today for the group project. My personal report irritatingly failed to make it in the batch of stuff, but I suspect we can hand a bunch of stuff to our 'client' tomorrow and he'll pass it on duitifully. Still working on stuff, hence, but marginally less frantically. I think we have probably won, if the people doing the marking are being remotely fair.

Yay! I managed to drag myself into the CL this morning to do the same.

When it was my group project (back in the Mistes of Tyme) I didn't have to do that, as we'd been in the CL since early Sunday morning coding away; we finally finished at 6am on the day of the deadline (did I mention that the Sunday we spent coding like loonies was my birthday?) and then I hastily wrote the various reports and stuff. Happy days...

Aww :(
I was doing documentation, though...

did I mention that the Sunday we spent coding like loonies was my birthday?

Happy Birthday-sometime-around-now, then! Mine was on Monday but I spent it bashing away at a user manual :(

I was the project manager but for some reason ended up being coder, tester and documenter as well. The project went well, mostly, but one guy tasked with a fairly vital piece of the project just didn't do it, and kept lying about when he would have it done. Good fun to explain in job interviews tho'.

Happy Birthday-sometime-around-now, then!

Thanks! Tomorrow, actually :) Same to you, belatedly.

Hehe, did you set up a channel for your group? That's such a good idea.

So did we (#groupproject for historical reasons), but the mailing list got a lot more use...

So, [livejournal.com profile] chess, how did the third client meeting go? Your client didn't look too pissed off and did leave early, so I'm guessing it was all OK in the end.
