Moop. I am Fat and Lazy and Minging, and my
tienelle has run off home where he doesn't have enough 'net access, or run off to eat food with Kendo types where he also doesn't have enough 'net access, or generally Is Not Around. I am still missing a Dragon-Blooded book and need to organise an Expedition to steal one, as I'm running the game Next Weekend, but have no tuits and no people online to pester.
I have agreed to go swimming tomorrow as part of a Campaign To Be Less Than Nine And A Half Stone Again. Of course, then I christened this campaign by eating several metric tons of Chinese food.
In less moopy news, I went and raided the charity shops of Braintree once again, and lo, they did not disappoint; I have a *brown tiger-print suit jacket*. And some over-tops with pretty patterns, and a lovely skirt, and another nice top, and a brilliant peasent dress, and a car-seat-cover made of wooden beads which I have no idea what to do with but was forced to buy because of its extreme coolness. I have vague visions of wooden-bead armour - it's like wooden chainmail! And I made all my boxes ready to go away, except they can't go away until tomorrow afternoon so there is still no space in my room.
Stars! is hopelessly addictive. And actually quite dull, but *still addictive*. I wasted hours playing it earlier today. I'm still useless at it, which is probably why it's dull as well.
Um. I need an extra life in which to play computer games so I stop using up as much of this one doing so.

I maintain that thousands of (admittedly mostly fictional) Chinese masters of the martial arts can't be wrong, and Chinese food is in fact very good for you. And more can only be better...
Yay! Stuff! I'm not sure how wooden-bead armour would work, though - its structure seems to channel blows towards the joins between the beads.
Stars! is quite dull. Most of your work for each turn could easily be automated, but there's no framework for doing so. It's possible Supernova, the sequel, fixes this. That said, I need Wine to work, that I may play Stars!
There is crawly-slow dial-up at home; I'll attempt to mix this with Snowplains at some point over the weekend.
I should stop trying to make up for missed chatter and lose consciousness.

Wooden-bead armour *doesn't* work. It does, however, look cool. I might be off to a random LARP event sometime in September in which I shall be a dryad, and so wooden armour is the way forwards.
Anyway, you will be home Monday evening in order for an expedition to actually gain entry to the house?
