I meant to go to sleep about two hours ago. And now I am less tired than I was then. I specifically didn't go to Ark because I was going to get some sleep; of course, mostly also on the 'Lazy and don't want to walk into town' grounds as well.

I am beginning to be scared about the proximity of exams and also the proxmity of this summer holiday thing, which I still have two months unplanned. I feel I should wave at someone about the Summer Blast, but I have this awkward dentist appointment and XF training at the end of it. And there's this UK Portalfest thing which will probably be dire but sounds like something I'll be going to anyway.

So
Have to leave Cam on the 19th or 20th of June, due to parents needing to haul stuff over that weekend.
Summer Blast 26th June - 4th July: dentist appt on the 28th, which I should either rearrange now or go to.
XF training 2nd-4th July (or really until the 3rd because only staying one night for money reasons).
5th - 15th July - Absolutely nothing.
16th-18th July - UK Portal Gathering (from www.rondaksportal.com)
19th July - 7th August - Big Piles of Nothing.
8th- 14th August - XF
15th-20th August - sleeping, probably.
20th-23rd August - DWCon
Some Nebulous Time Around Here - a week in Iceland with family.
Early September - when I can get back to Cam (about the 25th, I calculate) - More Nothing.

So, I still have 10 + 20 + 5 + ~25 days of Nothing. That's sixty days to waste. Despite having filled some of July I still have a whole two months to use up
1) Learning LaTeX.
2) Eating, sleeping, going for walks.
3) Getting bored out of my skull.

I feel I could do with some better options here, people. Suggest things.

I predict that learning LaTeX will amuse you for approximately 2 days. Assuming you drag it out.

Um, read the recomended books for next year's courses?
Come to Oxonmoot! (Tolkien-ness, Sept 17th-um the Sunday)
Come to my putative birthday partyness on the 16th September (but I haven't planned anything yet).
Learn a really silly progmramming lanugage and make it do amusing things (like white space or SPL or something)

You could always try getting a job. That way, any days that you do spend doing Nothing will seem nearly infinitely more entertaining than usual.

You could go on bits of the CHaOS tour. The website seems to be rather out of date - the tour actually runs from 8-25 July.

Summer Blast ++

Definitely sign up for the Summer Blast! It is a great week of witness and examining yourself and your attitudes, and it's lots of fun, and the people in King's Hedges really appreciate it, and you can go shopping in Daily Bread, and you get to meet a lot of people who you didn't recognise before because everyone has name tags. I did it part-time last year (I graduated in the middle of it) and it was excellent.
