I shall choose to take my alignment as a compliment. Feel free to correct me. What does this alignment business refer to though - is it general fantasy stuff that I've never met before, or something more specific?

Tis based on the AD&D alignment system; as part of character creation you say whether your character is lawful, neutral or chaotic and good, neutral or evil. Some classes have alignement requirements.
