chess: (nothing to see here (Blankness))
Mnh. Why am I so disorganised? Another £10 of late fines from the library. Grr.

Also, I should have gone for a walk before it rained rather than moping around on a computer. I suck.

[livejournal.com profile] enchantedmelody, I just found a floppy disk of yours under my keyboard. It's been mouldering with the guck that never gets cleaned out from under my computer because the cleaners won't touch the thing (which would be why my keyboard has an advanced case of mould and my monitor is starting to get mould-ish patches), so you probably don't want it back. Also, tell me what your grades were, dammit!

Yes, not sending the above by email was lazy of me. I *am* lazy. If I wasn't lazy, I'd actually tell you what I'd been doing instead of writing a bunch of utter garbage. (Note to everyone: I have a mild form of the 'depressed enough to go all blank and do nothing in particular for hours' kind of PMT, hence me sitting here whining instead of getting stuff done.)

I was also meant to have a bath this morning. Did I mention how much I suck?
chess: (the wind in these sails (Life/diaryness))
Yesterday [livejournal.com profile] naath and I went to Hedingham Castle to see the Jousting Knights. It was all a bit kiddie-orientated, to be honest, although the horsemanship was quite impressive. There was also some birds-of-prey stuff going around with them for no apparent reason, which was nice, because I like big pretty birdies. Naath almost got crashed into by the Harris Hawk. They promised a 'hog roast' but there was no hog and fire-pit on-site, they just meant they were serving nice roast pork instead of just nasty burgers and things; it was pretty good anyway. Other highlights were the guy who got dragged around by a horse repeatedly, people fighting with quarterstaves and morningstar-flails and axes and stuff when they got bored, and the small child who was obviously the progeny of one of the re-enactment people who challenged the knight he was meant to be the squire of, and showed that he did actually know how to handle a sword even though he obviously didn't have the strength to do so that well.
