chess: (outward bound)
I have my first offer! It's from Sheffield, where I have no intention of going. And it's two Bs. So at least I have somewhere to go if I prove in January that I'm actually as bad at maths as I think I am.

And I went to the Bath Open Day )

Heh.

NaNoWriMo 2002 Winner
Having recently finished NaNoWriMo (yes, I finished! hehehe!) I keep obsessively word-counting everything... like this post (which I typed on my Psion). Every time I save it. It's kind of irritating. (Currently 4915 words in the whole file, although now it's a few more, and there are quite a few other things beside this post in this file.)

My train is the wrong way round. (First Class should be at the other end. But it's at the end I normally sit instead. It's only about a dozen seats, though, not even the whole carriage, so I can still sit pretty close to the front and avoid it.)

Maybe I'll start doing some more Haylar now I've finished NaNo. (Yay! Over 5000 words in this file now!)

I have a bunch of really old stuff in here (like, from September-October time - and some more recent stuff that fits the below description too). I'd kind of like people to read it, but I don't want to LJ it as-is because it doesn't reflect my current state of mind.

[Poll #79201]
chess: (undercover)
Meh. Someone/something ate my poll. (After I'd submitted a vote to it (so I can see the thing on my friendspage!), so it was an eating and not a didn't-exist-in-the-first-place thing. And I didn't mess up the number editing the post or anything, because I found the page in history where I'd submitted the vote and the poll was eated when I tried to go back to that, too.)

Edit: it spat it out again. most odd. I did have a 'let's do this the old-fashioned way' thingamy here, but I don't need it now, as long as the poll stays de-eaten.

There is a poster up at school that says 'funk nation' and some times and places. It also says 'get out more!' and has a picture of a chicken. If I was more artistic (and, possibly, destructive), I would prepare a picture of a person with their mouth open, and fit it around the head of the chicken, as if they were preparing to bite it off. I would then replace 'funk' with 'geek', and 'get out more' with 'get out less'. Then I would replace the time with 'anytime - best at 4am' and 'a computer near you'. This would amuse me greatly. But I'm too lazy to do it. (The poster's pretty inaccessible, it's on a bit where the ceiling changes height, and finding the person picture in the right pose is probably highly unlikely, and I can't draw.)

Lots of backdated stuff; the last one is the longest (and most important).
