(no subject)

Lazy study-leave-type day. Finally finished getting up (i.e. after attempting to get up, collapsing, taking some pills and eating some breakfast, and finally actually achieving a state approacing awakeness) about 10:30, continued to read a book until 11:30ish (Stand on Zanzibar, I've already read it twice, it's an enormous book and very detailed), did some random revision-type stuff (Latin), went online to find a translation of something 'cos I've lost half my books (including two textbooks, eeeep), listened to some music - started off listening to Green Day stuff 'cos I wanted something angry for no good reason, then let it randomly select stuff and got two Delirious tracks and a mxpx one - both Christian bands. Then my mum came home so we had lunch and went up town to get random shopping, came home and I prepared the tea - stuffed mackerel, nice (even if I don't know how to spell it). Shame about all the fish blood tho, twas very annoying (they wrap the fish up lots to make sure it doesn't leak, but it means there's lots of packaging that it *does* leak onto that you have to sort out). Didn't manage to destroy anything too badly this time tho. Instructed to stop being so organised (I'd just made an annoying phone call to the ppl who I'm meant to be doing Work Experience with, I'm meant to be arranging an interview-thing but the guy I'm meant to contact, 'Professor King', never answers his phone. I'd tried last week but I messed it up and forgot to leave my number on the answerphone (I panicked when I got a weird answerphone to deal with), this week I managed to get people. I first got the switchboard, who put me through to the main office, who put me straight back to the extension number I'd called the first time before I could explain, which put me back through to the switchboard, who transferred me to the reception in the bit he works in, and finally I got someone to leave a message with. Bet he'll phone back when I'm online and tell me to ring him back and I'll have to mess about again with all the answerphones and stuff.

Woo, that's a lot of rubbish about my day. Generally been happy tho, very happy in places (and now I sound like the weather forecast, *grin*).

Even though it's grey and drizzling outside; I think everything looks as nice, tis just not drowned out by the sunlight and not making my eyes hurt.
