Why am I incapable of:

1. Actually managing to ask the relevant teacher for help in the way I'm meant to be doing. I've *tried* and *started* several times, but it just doesn't come out, or doesn't come out right. And now I'm putting off going to the staff room and sorting it out, which I need to do otherwise the school will be rung and told that I've been depressed and crying about mathsstuff, which is annoying because I was mostly depressed and crying because I was depressed because of PMT!

2. Practicing some more maths, or at least finding out what the other problems are so I don't feel so absolutely and utterly stupid for worrying teachers about things that everybody is struggling with and we're going to revise next week anyway. (It would be easier if it was only me having trouble with it, or if there was no particular revising going to be done; but the teacher keeps saying we've practically finished the syllabus and are going to revise these things. And then suddenly there's something else to do. And the exam's coming up pretty fast now.)

And *I can't talk about the person I need to talk about to explain how much of an issue this is and how frustrated and angry and worried I am, because I promised not to*!!!

Grr.

*squishyhugs*

I'm fairly useless at asking for help directly too. Try sending an email. You can skirt around the subject as much as you like but as long as you use the word "stuck" they'll get the message, hopefully.

Good Luck.

That's good.

(well, they have staff email at Uni, and they did in our Sixth form. Mind you, Eggbuckland was a technology college)

Ours was a bit like that. We had "whiteboards" with the projection thing, which we never used because they were so awkward, and a lot of tech staff who knew nothing.

But it was mandatory to take RSI CLAIT. *snorts*. Easiest course I ever did.

How does your school get away with this?

Why doesn't the government go "Balatently you're not" and remove the extra money?

(Of course this is just part of the larger question: Why doesn'ty the government say "This school sucks" and remove it's special status altogether?")

One of my friends in Uni with whom I've argued the issue of grammar schools[1] (she thinks they're wonderful, I think they're a travesty) passed the entrace exam for your school, but went to Colchester Grammar School and remarked that she thought your school was horrible.

[1] I don't understand how we get on. I mean every time we seem to find some issue we disagree totally on, and yet we still seem to be friends.
