Only 860 words today, but it doesn't matter because I'm well ahead anyway, and Sunday is a day of rest, right? And I've just about tied up the whole Earth thing (for this first-draft version, which is all that's probably getting written of this awful space-opera) now, so I can go on to actually starting the plot I had in mind originally, 8,000 words off the starting blocks.

All the songs quoted on [livejournal.com profile] storyness are ones that were in my head at the time of posting (as is this one quoted here) - I can't listen to music and write at the same time. (Which is strange, because I can listen to a Physics lesson and write at the same time quite adequately.)

I have done other stuff today, though, like church, where I was doing the projector-thingamy. The notices, the songs *and* a presentation in the sermon. I only got three things wrong, though, and those were only little blips that hardly anyone noticed, so it wasn't too bad. And driving, which I'm still fairly bad at, although I guess I was improving. I'm now busy failing to go to 8-10s through being tired and headachy and generally squished, and am going to go watch bad comedy shows in a minute. I also had a battle with the Kinder Egg Internet Surprises site, and lost. Badly. Even their website is a purveyor of Kinder Disappointments! (We had three eggs and I only got one cool plastic toy - the other two were those little jigsaw puzzle things ,although actually they did turn out to be pleasingly surreal. And the plastic toy is worth it - a sieve and a saucepan with a little black thing with nervous eyes peering out between them, holding a straining spoon in one hand...
