I should have asked for extra stuff in comments so I could reply to it properly! Oh well, here's some more spam on behalf of my latest pollthing:

My website desperately needs a whole ton of stuff on it. Dumping some HP fanfic on it is not going to help anything in particular, and I'd have to link to it from LJ anyway to get anyone to read it, although some of you might find that less obtrusive.

There are several communities for HP fanfic. The ones that are not full of the under-twelves (not that I have anything against that age group in particular, but I didn't produce very coherent stories at that age and I don't expect them to either, and not being their parents I don't see I particularly want a duty to read their attempts) deal in slash pretty much exclusively.

I've been trying to write better things, but they all stall at about 3000 words or so whereas Kestra just keeps on growing.

(Okay, I think I've just about cleaned up for tonight's comments. Keep the questions coming too - you can have another one if I've answered yours :-). But I'm disappearing to get some sleep now.)

Is it worth starting another community? There are probably quite a few people who want grown-up-but-not-slash HP fanfic. But creating it yourself would probably be a lot of effort, and you sound like you have a lot of things you want to do and don't get round too (or at least I do!)

Personally, I probably wouldn't read something that long when I'm just checking my journal. But occasionally I feel reading a story and having it available in one place would be useful. But that's me being lazy - I could stick it in my memories instead!
