I just realised that my last post had annoying shouty questions, so I'll repost it with nonshouty questions in a minute, and possibly behind a lj-cut tag.
I *think* what Michelle means it "Don't lock your journal on account of the belief that some people don' want to read it, because if they don't want to read it they can not read it, whether it's locked or not: they have a choice."
Of course if you don't want to them to read it then you should lock it. (but if that's the case then I would argue that that's the stupidest question I've ... well, heard in a while anyway ;-)).
Grr, this'll teach me to check the other replies before replying to a comment! Not only did you say precisely the same as I did, you said it in much fewer words and in a much clearer manner!
