This is my little bit of the Mandelbrot set.
I got it from the mandelbit generator.

Julia sets

Your mother might be intrested to know that associated with Mandelbrot sets are a construct known as "Julia Sets".

I'm afriad that Julia was the surname of the mathematician in question who was, somewhat predictably, male.

They're not as random as they first appear - refresh a coupla times and you find exactly that one again. methinks there're prob'ly only about 20. Dissappointing.

they are actually generated on the fly, although it seems it chooses some nice ones occassionaly (although this nice-ones theory could just be, theory).

have a play with the numbers in the url, for instance, change the inside of Chess's fractal to bright yellow/green (I can't see which as I am colour 'challenged' as the US say.)
