Today, I finally managed to change my title on Republic (i.e. to think of changing it, and what to change it to). It was 'isn't sure whether she wants to wake up or not'. Now it's 'has woken up, and it's not that bad'. I couldn't think of anything better to put on MBA4 than 'is a sweet ickle Chessypig' tho. I've decided that it's time to stop being definately vague, and start being vaguely definate.
I've started keeping a second diary-thing in my Psion, passworded. Grr, I've been taught privacy at last. It's mostly for the sake of other people though. When my poor ailing Psion has its new batteries - we went to town today, and found Ni-Cad batteries but not NiMH ones of the right size - they had AAA ones and B ones (think they were B, some bigger size) but not AA ones! They'd just sold out - I might transfer quite a few of the bits that are just about me onto here.
I just realised I never wrote anything about this driving thing I did on Monday. A bit of background - they took a bunch of us Y11s (most of the year is doing this at some point, but we were the first group) down (three cars, three in two of the cars and two in the other) to this 'road safety centre' thing which was mainly a driving circuit, marked out like a proper road with a roundabout and a zebra crossing and stuff. It was quite scary being in control of a car for the first time - and yes, I did manage to stall it several times, drive straight off the road onto the grass more than once, and oversteer dreadfully, although I didn't manage to completely forget to steer on a corner and almost crash into a signpost (just as well the instructor-person with us had dual controls and could brake!) like one of the other girls in the car did when it was her turn. And I managed to do the smoothest gear-change, although every single time I stopped the car I managed to stall it. The funniest bit was when I'd been oversteering something horrid and the instructor said "Don't be so heavy-handed! Remember you're driving a car, not wrestling an alligator!". I'd had to go first tho ('cos no-one else wanted to and I didn't want to make a fuss) so I don't think I did too badly, and it was fun, especially when I made the car judder and the others in the back started screaming...
