My net connection is all messed up, 'cos we've got horrible line-noise problems again, and the BT people are insisting that it's not their job to provide us with a decent enough line for a net connection, just one for voice calls. Grr. I can just about get on eventually, email seems to work okay, and talkers will make a good attempt at working, but I get bursts of horrible lag, the connection insists it's running at the rather impossible 115,200bps (which is why I suspect there's a hardware/NTL problem *as well*, although I can hear the line noise on the phone), and cuts off randomly. Not good.

I was going to do the survey that's going round just 'cos I haven't done a survey for ages, but then I started going through it and realised just *how* immature and annoying it was. Therefore, I've answered a selection of the questions:

**ABOUT YOURSELF**

Height: 5'4" (or so, it's been ages since I actually measured and I have a feeling I've grown about an inch since then)
Sign: Whee, I think I managed to forget again! Ah no, it's, 'The small faint group of boring stars'.
Hair colour: Brown. Very definately brown.
Righty/Lefty: Right, which doesn't mean I'm any good with either of them, and I always bat (or do anything that requires strength) left-handed, and mostly I just type which uses both!
Eyes: Mainly blue. I used to have a nice yellow ring around my pupils but it's just gone a kind of brown now.
Shoe Size: Anything between 4 and 5-and-a-half - i.e. one of my feet is size 4, one of my feet is size 5-and-a-half. Makes finding comfortable shoes interesting.
Shoe Brand: Clarks, if you mean *shoes* shoes, because I have to get odd ones to fit me. Otherwise, Donnai trainers appear to work fine (in fact, I hardly wear anything else now)
Do You Crack any Body Parts: No, and it really freaks me out when people do!
Girl Friend/Boyfriend: Nope :-) They're more trouble than they're worth, as far as I can tell - I just plain don't want one atm.
Do u Like Anyone: You mean *like*, as in fancy? No, for the first time in a long time I can say that I really, truly don't! (does a happy dance).
Who: See above :-)

**Have You Ever**
Got In a Fight: Uh... has *anyone* answered 'no' to this? Because if they have, they're probably lying...
Liked a Teacher: Yes (*looks suitibly embarrassed*) No less than three, in fact.
Killed Someone: No, never. I'm very careful about this. (Well, I'm presuming you're only counting humans; there was a whole load of Borg I took a dislike to, and I think the Ferengi pilot who tried to kidnap me might not have made it...)
Laughed So Hard You Peed in Your Pants: No.
Sang in the rain: Yup :-) Not that many weeks ago, in fact, on my way to school, to cheer myself up.
Walked into a glass Door: Yes. Lots of times. We have these wonderful glass patio doors which look extremely similar open or closed...
Kicked The Wall: Yes. And the doorposts, and the bed, and the door, and pillows, and chairs, and people, and lots of other stuff too. Firstly, I'm clumsy; secondly, I still have a bit of a temper and I used to have a really bad temper; thirdly, when I'm feeling useless and idiotic kicking the wall is one of the less harmful things I can do to snap me out of it.
Been in Love: Unless you count with God, no.
Ate Dirt: Not only have I eaten dirt, I've eaten a maggot from a Biology experiment, playdoh, glue, those little plastic balls that hide inside ink cartridges, pencil sharpenings, daisies, moss, and probably a whole load of other weird things I can't remember now. The maggot and the daisy petals actually tasted quite good.
Gone Skinny Dipping: No...
Asked someone out: For certain values of 'out', yes.
Ran into a parked car: Literally.

*Which One is Better**
Coke or Pepsi: They're both *fizzy*. Plain ordinary tap-water beats them.
Taco Bell or Mcdonalds: I have no idea what Taco Bell are like. McDonalds don't serve food, just cardboard. Chinese food places are your friend.
Cats or Dogs: Cats! Dogs are just too big and friendly and boisterous and dangerous... I mean, a cat I can relate to, a dog is like one of those people who knows how to be *sociable* and is therefore scary.
Coffee or Tea: Neither. Tap water will do just fine.
Sour or Sweet: Sweet! 'Sour sweets' are a really dumb invention and just a contradiction in terms.
Chocolate milk or hot chocolate: Chocolate milk! Unless the hot chocolate's all frothy with cream on top, of course...
Dance or punk: Silence is preferable to either, mostly. I guess there's some vaguely okay stuff that gets classified as 'punk', so if I have to decide on one I'd go for that.
Black or White: Uh... white, cos it matches Cass and is generally 'good', for symbolism; black for wearing. (And I like the dark.)
Top or Bottom: Neither :-)
Ice Hockey or Roller Hockey: Neither. Plain regular hockey beats both (because in those two I'd just fall over, whereas in normal hockey I can scare people).
Day or Night: Twilight.
Lights On or Off: Off. The glow from the computer screen lets me find stuff.
Ocean or Pool: Pool, if I have to choose either. Large bodies of water in general aren't my favourite things, although walking around a lake or by a river can be nice 'cos they're pretty. Walking by the sea gets too much sand in your shoes tho, unless it's a nice rocky beach where you can clamber around and look in rockpools and stuff.
Winter or Fall: Fall. *falls screaming from a great height, then blinks /between/ to lose her velocity before swooping down to a smooth landing*
25 or 52: 25. It's the square of 5. Tho my favourite number is 125 - the cube of 5.
Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera: The start of this question should be 'Who'd live the least time in a glass conservitory'
Backstreet Boys or N'SYNC: Ah, tis obviously 'who can name the most rubbish bands day'.
Pop music or Rock music: Classify R.E.M. and U2 and Travis and Embrace and Coldplay and Counting Crows. *Then* ask me about music. (That'd be 'indie' then?)

**Your favorite**

Food: Bread. Especially this wonderful honey-and-sunflower-seed loaf that Tescos sell occasionally.
Actress/Actor: Firstly I don't know enough, secondly I don't have a favourite out of the few I could name.
Store: I'm pretty sure I don't have one.
Band: Just *one* favourite band? No way...
Restaurant: The Chinese with the all you can eat in Chelmsford is proving a popular choice - I'm glad I took Sath and Naath there for my birthday now.
Singer: I'm meant to know singer names?
Thing to Do: Worship God. (Now, why is everyone going to say that sounds all tacky and holier-than-thou? Isn't it a perfectly reasonable thing to enjoy?)
Favorite number: 125. (It's the cube of 5!)
Album: If I couldn't decide on one band, how am I meant to decide on one album?
Amusement Park: I don't really like them any more. They're only as entertaining as who you go there with, and mostly the fun is in tormenting the entertainers anyhow...
Animal: Cats. Sleek black cats with bright green eyes.
Holiday: *shrug* Half the dates of my religion's holidays are stolen from pagan festivals, and all of them are now mainly an excuse for people to make money and eat too much.
Magazine: New Scientist. Of course it counts.
Song: Wild Honey, by U2, is my favourite atm, but I'm sure that'll change when I actually find the lyrics and find out they're not any good actually.
Scent: Chocolate ice cream! (from that highlighter-thing Helena has...)
Book: I think it's still Stand On Zanzibar, if you're talking novels.
T.V Show: DS9 (the *early* ones), or Friends (ducks from all the abuse she can feel ready to be hurled at her)
Radio Station: BBC Radio 4
Movie: Tron still wins this one.

**In The Future**
Who's Gonna be by Your Side: God. :-)
Where you Gonna Live: Heaven.
