Ahh, from full annoying self-deprecation mode into complete annoying arrogence and superiority complex in a day. I'd like school, if it didn't bore me stupid quite so often.

A prime example of total idiocity tho - our school has decreed that 6th-formers can no longer eat in form rooms, 'cos they have the Common Room to eat in. Said Common Room can hold, ooh, about half of the sixth form in relatively cramped conditions? And as for eating in the canteen, that's out 'cos there's five years' worth of people scrabbling for seats there, and it's either the same size or smaller than the common room... ah well, hypothermia here we come again I guess.

As for the rest of the day, after two hours in the morning of total boredom (Form Time and assembly) we got some lessons on stuff we already knew (not *entirely* fair, they managed to teach us some notation in Stats, although in such a scattershot way I can't see it effectively sinking in really). I'm still rather angry with them for messing up our nice cozy little Further Maths group with their silly Accelerated Maths idea (let's get a load of ppl who are lazy to come join the further maths group with the promise of more frees in the second year! yeah, *great* idea...), and I'm in the larger of the Physics groups, and Economics was dreadfully oversubscribed, and so on and so forth. It's all just little niggles - the important stuff like lockers (I got in early and managed to claim a top locker with a shelf!), transport (my form tutor gave the impression she'd be happy if I just managed to turn up at some point during registration, and there's plenty of time after school to get my train then) etc was all fine and good, but hey, I have earache again and so I feel like having a good rant.

On the subject of rants, they've privatised the school canteen, it's now called 'Choices Cafe', although apparently the food hasn't improved and the noise levels and smell certainly haven't. As I said above, I believe our proud tradition of sitting out in all weathers to eat may continue for a long time. At least we can now get to The Beacon (no queues at lunchtimes 'cos most ppl aren't allowed out, and invaluable when you forget to pack half your lunch *whistles innocently, or at least attempts to*).

Anyway, I hope tomorrow goes better (I oughta have a Pure Maths lesson tomorrow, and the one we had of them during 6th-form-induction was pretty good, so hopefully things will pick up on the teaching front - also Sath said that the stats teacher who I felt I actually learnt something from and quite liked the teaching style of although I can see how it'd confuse many ppl is like Mr Moore, the Economics teacher (who took her class for history), so Economics might be up to scratch too).
