There was Maelstrom, and it was good.

axis1412 has tagged me with a meme, and I spent all my energy for the next month running up and down a scout camp all weekend, so here we go.
"Ok so the rules are, once you've been tagged, you have to write a blog with 6 weird facts/things/habits about yourself. At the end you need to pick 6 people to be tagged and list their names."
1) I spent this weekend pretending to be a tree. An Awakened tree, raised by a tribe of snake-people, who might be about to save the world by growing flowers on a ritual site.
2) I have an awful lot more energy when I'm not me. I would quite like to stop being depressed (which I think is the major cause of my faliure to have any energy when me, given how it returns when I'm not me) but I'm scared that if I try and tell doctors then they will give me pills which will make me Not Me in a bad way.
3) I can't stand the noise people make when rubbing their eyes. This is part of my general Bad Things Happening To Eyes Phobia.
4) I am becoming more and more convinced that my ethnic group is Happy Frothing LARPers. (See: Cryptonomicon.) I'm slightly worried about how much LARP is defining me these days, but still have insane urges to run a LARP at some point, possibly a long-term thing as TT-replacement in Cambridge summer holidays. (Unfortunately the only LARP system/setting I've devised I did as a 'this might have plausibly grown organically' exercise, which means it is full of the kind of flaws I'd want to avoid in a system I made from scratch.)
5) Whereas I have restrained myself from torturing small animals / insects / creatures to death lately, I generally enjoy destroying living things and causing pain. This disturbs me somewhat.
6) Because my eyes do different ranges (one is long-sighted slightly, the other is near-sighted a lot) I don't have depth perception (even with my glasses on, I'm so hopelessly out of practice that I basically don't anyway). This makes driving interesting.
I don't really approve of tagging people, and this meme is kind of vague and unsatisfying, so I'll leave it at that. I may froth about Maelstrom some more later, but it is difficult to froth about Maelstrom on a public LJ because I am an Awakened and a Native and this means that everything I do is packed full of lovely FOIP.
