Lots of stuff happened today, most of it increadibly boring.

Got woken up at 8:30 on the premise that ten hours in bed is enough for anyone and because we had to go shopping this morning. Subsequently got dragged around town, in rather a daze because I was in a nasty depressed mood for no good reason.

This afternoon we went to Andy and Sharon's wedding (ppl from church - well, Andy is anyhow). After hassling around to try and get ready (I had to wash my hair as soon as we got back from town, and so on and so forth) we were 20mins early, so that was some extra hanging-around (in which I spotted the glasses of sugar sat on the tables (in lieu of bowls, for the tea and coffee provided later) and wished I wasn't meant to be all grown-up and ladylike and could eat some). Eventually we wandered in and got seated with lots of other ppl from church, surrounded by an inordinate number of small children who provided a little entertainment. Traditionally, Sharon was late. The service itself, when we finally got around to it, was pretty good tho.

Then we all trooped back down to the lower level of the church (Sharon's church - it obviously used to be a traditional high-ceilinged thing, and they've put a floor in halfway up so now there's two floors) where we stood around looking lost for a bit. Because the present we'd got was rather heavy (a set of folding tables) dad hadn't brought it down when we went down to the church (not very far from the nearest car-park, but a little way, and it was the multi-storey so getting the present down from there must have been fun) so he went to get it then. And then everyone started to be shooed out to the park for the photos. We hung around inside for as long as we could, then when we were actually getting thrown out we went out the front the side way and thankfully dad was just arriving. So we got the present to the right place, and then found Kim and Leah who had lost Leah's little boy Jordan. As we didn't know the way to the park we left after a quick search to follow the last of the people going out the door, and sure enough Jordan was (as I'd suspected) attached to someone else and down in the park - so dad went back to tell Kim and Leah.

Then the most horrendously boring part commenced - waiting for the photos to be done. It took *hours* - literally. Everyone was just milling about looking bored, with the exception of the rather scary group of small children attacking the trees (led by Leah's little girl Charlotte who did some quite impressive war cries and charges) with sticks. Everyone, especially many of the small children, were getting tired and hungry and generally fed-up by the end - I think Olive ran out of chocolates (she was carrying a box around to pacify children with). Eventually we were allowed to troop back into the church, where there were at least drinks, and nutrigrains mysteriously appeared for some of the littlekids. After downing a couple of the pathetically small glasses of orange squash, I found a seat (not an easy task) and proceeded to look bored out of my skull in a corner.

At last, the food was pronouced ready - cue enormous charge towards the doors it was behind, mainly by the scary littlekids (and their anxious parents). I got a moderately good place in the queue, and managed to snatch a fair amount of food (although I felt constrained not to take too much because there didn't look like anywhere near enough for the hungry hoards awaiting feeding). All the seats had been taken by the time I managed to get out of that room, and most of the steps (which I eventually ended up sitting on). After taking a long time over my food to try and pass as much time as possible, we finally decided to escape (although I did manage to grab a bit of cake first, which was a good move because it was chocolate cake :-))

When we got home, I played StarCraft for ages, although I couldn't get the map I wanted to play to work with only one player (couldn't edit it either, the map editor entirely refused to even think about opening it) and ended up playing the hidden races in the D&D map, although the winged elf scout wouldn't respawn and the thief would only level up once (maybe that's all it does, but it did tell me to come back at a certain level, I did and it did nothing). Then I tried the first BW mission ('cos I had that CD in anyway), repeatedly got Zeratul killed and forgot to save along the way at all, then had to give the computer to my mother anyhow and go have a bath. I *meant* to go watch some videos with my parents tonight (we got this 'Dune trilogy' thing out) but I decided to come and write a ridiculously long LJ entry and spod instead, because I was feeling very worn out with physically-present people.

And that's all, folks. (So far, anyway.)
