Round two goes to the good ickle Chessypig.

This afternoon I went up to Chelmsford with Sath to see a film (Evolution - *very* funny, extremely silly). After failing to find any actual foody place that sold what we wanted and wasn't dreadfully crowded, we got sandwiches and drinks from Boots, and I got a 'fruit selection' thing which was really nice - melon, kiwi fruit, pineapple and grapes. We phoned Amy while eating so she'd be on her way down, then wandered into the cinema. It was packed - we basically *had* to see Evolution (even tho me and Amy have seen it once before) because the other two things we might have watched sold out (Shrek and Tomb Raider). We got the tickets before Amy arrived (the queue was so long we'd decided just to join it anyway). Then Amy wandered in and declared that she had to go to a shop to take back the flower thing she'd worn on her dress at the Prom 'cos she wasn't paying that much money for it, and that she could have got a discount on her ticket. (By this time the film had apparently started, although we all knew it was adverts.) So we went off to the shop and Amy got a refund on her flowery thing, but as standing in a shop looking at feather boas wasn't personally dishonest of me I didn't take an awful lot of notice. We were then going to fetch Amy food from Burger King but it was getting late so we didn't manage to. Amy then got ice-cream stuff (well, sorbet and chocolate) and was off to get sweets so Sath and I went up to the screen and left her searching 'cos I didn't want Sath to miss the start of the film through Amy fussing. Our seats were right on the end of a row (the place was packed out - we'd had to get seats in the 'luxury' bit to get three together, and all of the other seats were full by the time we got there to sit down) and there wasn't an aisle the other side so we had to get past all these random people. Amy got there *just* before the film started (in that bit between the ads and the film where they close the curtains and put the lights up and play silly music again just to annoy everyone), which was just as well 'cos it'd have really annoyed all those ppl had she had to do that with the film started. After we'd talked and laughed our way through the film (which was just as funny the second time round), we suddenly realised we'd just missed the train. After discussing various things we could do, Sath and Amy decided it'd be a brilliant idea to sneak into another film. I rather disagreed with this. The one they wanted had already started (making it even easier to sneak into), so Sath's suggestion that if I felt bad about it I could pay wasn't really practical as it'd be awkward getting a ticket for an already-started film. Then Amy muttered something about Sath going in and us waiting outside ('cos Sath was whining about how I was messing up her fun - she wanted to see a bit of Tomb Raider) so I followed them up the stairs, but they ran the last bit and dived into the screen. So I had a moment of indecision, and then decided that I didn't really want to see the movie particularly anyway, so wandered back down the stairs with the intention of phoning parents and going home. Decided instead that parents didn't need to be involved unless I really was going to have to get the train home on my own, and the chocolate ice-cream looked very good indeed. Being able to feel righteous about sitting and eating an enormous chocolate ice-cream is great fun! Eventually Amy came and found me and asked when I wanted Sath to come out and meet me to get the train, and so everything worked out fine.

Hmm. I said I'd go to bed (or at least get off this computer) after finishing this LJ entry, but I really wanna keep talking to Neil, and the room and friends-chan stuff is quite interesting atm too. So I've got to think of something else to witter on about. Ooh, I know - I'll share my discovery about the blurbs on the back of my bubblebath. They've got it in five different languages. One is Greek which I don't stand a chance with, then there was one marked DK which I could pick out some of, French which I could make out most of, and German which I could just read (and English of course). I've always thought they were just straight translations of each other, because I haven't looked for ages and last time I did a proper comparison I didn't really know enough of the languages. But the ones on the back of this weren't - they were very much different, and seemingly culturally based - for instance, the German one completely omitted the bit about leaving you feeling pampered, and added instead that it wouldn't leave an oily film on your skin, which none of the others mentioned.

Ooh, I can finish this now. Nini everyone.
