(13th October is 'today' here)
Today I just about managed to drag myself out of bed, despite the really inconvenient fire alarm at 4am, my sinuses and muscles deciding they hated me and wanted me to die, and so forth. I managed to get quite a bit of work done in L&P, and another lecturer quote (which I should put on ToothyWiki sometime), although I think I shall do the work again on paper in order to check it.

We signed up for hardware workshops just before ECAD, in the usual 'here are some sheets, please scramble for them' manner. So Matthew and I sat around until everyone had finished getting in each other's way and then signed up for the session with the least people (hence more chance of getting demonstrator assistance).

Yesterday, got to Unix Tools lecture, which I remember none of, but that doesn't mean I didn't learn anything, just that I didn't put it in chronological memory. Meant to go to Motor Proctors, because I thought they were open 2pm on Tuesdays, but that's Thursdays, and anyhow I had forgotten half the stuff I needed. So instead I bought grapes and water and wandered home, via giving the rest of my change to a homeless guy and chatting for a bit.

Then I sat and spodded basically all day; I only got lunch at 1:15pm because I still thought I needed to set out for town at 1:30pm. Eventually managed to drag myself to Hall at the last minute, where I met Requiem. I'd meant to go to the TT Squash, but whilst talking I decided I wanted to go to Games Evening instead.

Games Evening was good; we found a highly random game called Nuclear War which was amusing if not particularly great (players getting knocked out very early in most cases made it not very suitible for Games Evening). There was party food and some people played the 'guess what the person stuck to your back is' game. Then we played Purto Rico, with the expansion, which I lost because I tried a rather extreme form of a new strategy (with 9 forests, two quarries and just my starting cornfield) to build stuff and didn't quite get enough money early enough.

After that had finished I had a look at my phone, which had two missed calls (I'd told Nicholas he should ring me when the CTS squash he'd been to had finished to check Games Evening was still going before coming over). I attempted to ring him back, but my phone wouldn't connect the call because my credit is below the minimum call charge. So I asked if I could use someone else's phone and found out he was on his way.

There was only really M:TG going on at this point, so I decided to leave. Even though I 'left early', I still didn't get home until 1am, and didn't get to sleep until past 2am. Briefly. (See 'fire alarm' above.) I really should do something about how much I swear when that thing goes off.

Monday, after lectures, I went and bought some bread (mini Naan breads, as they were right in front of me and fit in my bag), and then to the spod. Eventually I dragged myself to Hall and thence to Ark, where we had the grand total of two freshers, both only really interested in the music side of things which wasn't the focus of the meeting. Playing drama games was entertaining, though. (We need more stuff to do. If anyone you guys know would appreciate a sketch by a Christian drama group at an event, please tell us! We happily write new sketches to fit specific themes if required, and don't require much notice.)
