One of *those* days.
Jul. 28th, 2003 07:56 pmTomorrow, as I've said before, I have a driving test.
Today, my driving instructor's car broke down. In the middle of Moulsham Street. (For those who don't know, said street is always double-parked, crawling with pedestrians and generally not a place you want to break down in, not that you want to break down any place, but you particularly do not want to do it here.) Thankfully it was downhill into a side-road so we managed to nurse the car off the main thoroughfare, which made it a lot less embarrassing to wait three quarters of an hour (quite reasonable, really) for the AA. Then spent significantly longer amounts of time attempting to find a garage which would fix the thing at reasonably short notice. I got in at about 3pm; my driving lesson started at 11:15am...
I am now going to be driving my mother's car in my driving test. We took it out to practice manoeuvers in it and I did quite well, so I'm still hopeful, although it does mean I have a great excuse if I do fail.
