May. 23rd, 2003 03:56 pmI smell like an ash-tray.
I spent three hours standing around in a pub. This was mostly because I was talking to a maths teacher (Mr Adams), and then people kept dragging me around to have my photo taken. I also spent reasonable quantities of time writing mindless drivel into people's notebooks in return for them writing significantly less mindless drivel in mine. Eventually this guy who'd been eyeing me up for practically an hour came over and asked if he could sign my notebook; thankfully I was holding someone else's, and the excuse that it was someone else's made him sufficiently confused to go and sit back down, because he was very drunk. Because he kept looking at me after that as if he was going to make another attempt, that was the point I phoned my parents to come get me. I then got my photo taken another three billion times and had another dozen notebooks waved at me, including one girl who I don't know who wanted the entire lyrics of Alice (I only gave her the chorus and first verse because I really had to go by that point) and a dragon, and told me that I couldn't possibly leave until I'd given them to her because I was a legend. In fact, everybody seemed to have decided to love me. I got cheered so much going up for the card I felt I had to do something on the way back, so I waved like a celebrity and said 'Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week' because it was the first thing I thought of.
Now I am very tired. I got home at about three and practically inhaled two enormous slices of bread because I was starving hungry, having eaten nothing since breakfast at 7am.
