Oh yes, and
naath and I attempted to scare
jaq today. But wearing pink didn't seem to faze him and neither did Naath's latest attempt to look like Death out of Sandman. Perhaps because he didn't know what Sandman is. I was rather amused by the fact that he was wearing nailvarnish and claimed to understand the fun in shopping for nothing in particular, whereas I had no makeup and Naath had goth-makeup (no nailvarnish) on and decided we couldn't understand it on its own merits (although I understand it a little when with friends, now).
Minority Report, the film we went to see, was actually quite good. (After the absolute traversity that was The Bicentennial Man, my expectations weren't too high.) The whizzy-gadget-quotient was pleasingly high, and the realism level was pretty good for an action movie too (except for the guys in mostly office jobs escaping and generally beating the trained security operatives, but that's only to be expected). It wasn't anywhere near as good or satisfying plot-wise as the short story, but the plot did hang together well, even if they did feel they had to force a 'happy ending' feel to it even though it wasn't truly a happy ending. I think I'd've been more of a fan of the plot had I not been comparing it to the high standards of the original short story.
