In other news, I had 2 frees today due to Economics and duitifully wasted them entirely (reading LJ, reading email, reading Snaildust and UF, reading Slashdot, finding AD&D chargen sites for Melody, making an AD&D Theif rather badly from the instructions of several sites and submitting her to the world I failed with last time 'cos my character sheet wasn't complete enough). I suck. I also need to do all this Economics work we got given sometime.
It's freezing cold, and there are sheets of rain lashing down. An alarm is playing silly monkeys in the distance - every time you get used to it, the pattern of sound changes. The wind is sweeping down the platform and freezing, but the waiting room is very full indeed. My train is a full 20mins late, at the last count. Due to 'line congestion' at stratford, apparently - as if the motion of trains is a semirandom individual-driven process analogus to road transport, rather than a carefully orrchestrated, planned dance of people-carrying behemoths... maybe it has become that disorganised, with schedulers trying to pile trins on.
the 14:18 to clacton -third casulty of line congestion - is due in 60mins. it's 14:11. the 14:14 is apparently next up, at 14:23. the alarm has stopped, and a police car just went alarmwards. the rain is worse. more people have arrived. 14:18 due in 13mins now. no signs of my train. 14:14.
