Feb. 19th, 2002 05:37 pmMmm. I guess I'd better write some stuff up.
Sunday afternoon/evening we (= church youthgroup) went to see Monsters Inc. Nice funny film. The leaders had their littlekid with them, which was quite amusing. We had McDonalds afterwards, and the girls (it was just girls 'cos we were at the back of the queue, having not run to get in front, and hence had time to think about this kinda thing) decided it'd be quicker if we ordered together. Then we spent quite a while failing to work out how to get the right change, and many arcane exchanges were made on the principle 'if you give me that, I can give you this, then you can give her that'...
Oh, it's teatime. More actualstuffposting after tea, hopefully.

Feb. 19th, 2002 08:46 pm./~ The people who told us
That two and two was ten
Are now trying to tell us
That two and two is five ~\.
Yesterday I was in school. Yes, it was the holidays. This was for my 'Engineering Project'.
Got there about 9am and started searching for people. Not in the tech rooms... in P3, the demountable at the back of nowhere. Where we had to stay. Where we had to lug all of the equipment we wanted from the tech rooms to, because we weren't allowed to work in the tech rooms 'cos of no tech staff being there. Where we wrecked the benches, 'cos they're not designed for the kind of stuff we were doing. And other such frustrations. We spent quite a while cutting this piece of metal (more Kathryn's work than mine), then worked out a nice easy-to-cut piece of metal rod would do the job just as well, then worked out that neither would do the job properly, so LaToya rigged summat up with elastic bands.
At lunchtime we eventually went to a pub, on the basis that it was the nearest place that sold hot food. I'd already eaten my sandwiches tho, and Kathryn had already eaten the stuff we bought, so we played pool. I didn't play too atrociously badly, suprisingly - I won one game by virtue of her potting the black - but it was at the right time - but she potted the white as well, and we ended up one-ball-each before she went on to win another game.
But overall, it was a nasty, frustrating, tiring day.
