(no subject)

Mood very random again. Got my shiny new computer, which is no longer quite so shiny because it's just a pile of useless plastic and bits in the corner, because the thing keeps crashing! Not just software-type crashing, blue-screen-of-death stuff either - entirely random total lockups, which only power-cycling will cure, and they're getting more frequent the more we use it. So we're going to have to take it back and demand that it's fixed, but because we already called them out once and it was the fault of the network card we put in, and now we reinstalled Win98 on it ('cos it had been a demo machine and there was all kinds of crud on it) I'm worried they're not going to sort it out for us...

Oh, and of course I'm useless (I simply cannot *do* weekends, I very nearly forgot to eat again on Saturday evening, had to be reminded), but we already know that.

On a more positive note, Kastaka being in my room now means I've decorated her with two penguins, one 'Millenium Bug', one florescent orange and pink dog-thing and a sleeping dragon-type-lizardy-thing... she looks so pretty now... (I'm *presuming* you all know Kastaka is the computer we were attempting to replace with the now-less-shiny new one (tentitively called Yamsyn, which is quite accurate the number of times the character Yamsyn tried to kill herself)...)
