chess: (shy little me)
Five things that 2002 taught me:
* Dragons are Not My Friends
* Being obsessed with writing up dreams is unhealthy
* People are just as stupid as I though they were
* Coding makes me happy (but I still don't do enough of it)
* I feel like I'm being crushed. Slowly. By the air around me. But I'm too lethargic to do anything about it. Does that count?

Five personally significant events of 2002:
* Went to London with Naath for this Physics in Perspective rubbish, found my way around etc.
* DWCon2002. Met [livejournal.com profile] painispretty and didn't die, these things are good. Spent lots of time scared and confused and bored and lonely; these things are bad.
* I was bitten by a dog (a big German Shepherd) right outside my house. (I've always been somewhat frightened of dogs, but this certainly didn't help.)
* Helped out with the Easter Power and Light children's club at church and Cosmic, the Sunday morning group for R-Y2 children.
* Began drawing Haylar

Five things I want to do in 2003:
* Get into Cambridge. (This is Not Going To Happen, due to Failing P4, but it's nice to dream.)
* Find God again. (I *know* You're out there somewhere...)
* Drink enough water and eat enough fruit.
* Convince my mother that I won't die of starvation/never wash/stay in my room all the time at Uni.
* Express myself more.

Five things I don't want to do in 2003:
* Die. (Yes, really. For once I don't want to die. This is actually quite a change for me. I'm not sure it's an entirely positive one.)
* Hurt anyone. (This also isn't going to happen, but it's nice to dream.)
* Spend too much time at a computer screen.
* Worry and beat myself up over spending too much time at a computer screen (or whatever my Useless Thing Of The Day is).
* Be ashamed of being me, afraid of failure, or willing to conform just to make things easier even if I don't / am not something normal.

I leave you with this thought from the thirteenth of Febuary:

Five years from now I hope to:
1. Be me
2. Be happy
3. Uh, is there anything else?
