Mostly, they're fed up of having six million people list them as an insurance offer. They actually said 'We're giving out high offers because we don't want people to be putting down York and Bristol and Warwick as first choices and us as insurance, so we set our offers as high as theirs so we don't get picked as an insurance choice.' They told us that the fact they couldn't see where else we were applying to this year worked against some of us because they had to offer at AAB (to avoid being an insurance choice) in case we were applying to high-offer Unis.
