Have you thought about writing Kestra in LaTeX? If you haven't looked into it, it's easier than you thought. It's ideal for writing books/articles (and can be exported cleanly to text,rtf,pdf,html,postscript,dvi...)
I shall probably print Kestra off soon so I can actually read it without getting distracted every 2 seconds.

Date: 2002-09-27 02:51 pm (UTC)From:why would I write a fanfic in LaTeX?
apart from general masochistic tendancies?
it's not as if I'm doing any maths formulae in it, or anything.
or have I somehow misunderstood you?
(oh, you mean for portability? this is a fanfic. plus I need the practice at HTML, although as I'm just copy-pasting bits and the type of baby-HTML I'm using is hardly rocket science anyway I'm not sure if that's an reason or an excuse.)

b) when you come to publishing.
Purely for copyright reasons I would think that Michelle won't be publishing this (but obviously if it weren't for that then she would be ..).
Neil, who tried reading more Kestra: he really did. But it reached the point[1] where carrying on would have meant I had to shoot someone. Kestra for preferance, but the author would make an adaquete second choice.
[1] Where she comes home from school, just into the first chapter.
