My period's due on Wednesday.
So, when did it decide to start?
Why, this morning, of course.

hmm, that looks like a haiku:

period, due wednesday
when does it decide to start?
monday morning. bah.

If you can say "Wednesday" in one syllable, I'm impressed. :)

She doesn't need to, does she?

pe-riod due wednes-day

Though I suppose that pronouncing "period" as 2 syllables is sloppy, and requires concentration ;) But easier than "wedsnesday" as one ... "weds" would be better all round I guess.

Oh, I see. I always make "period" three syllables, which was what was confusing me.

At this rate, it could be the middle line.

Hmmm... bewaffling. Who's to say how many syllables what has. I'd give the whole thing 7 syllables, but if it's 'pir-yid' and the debatably vulgar 'whens-day', I s'pose...

I've actually lost my ability to say the word 'Owl' as a monosyllabic word. I'm now saying 'Ow-wull'. Methinks after 17 years I'm beginning to acquire a regional accent. What's the correct Owlic syllallabus, and how can I say it properly without it soundign like 'Al' or 'Arl'
