Last night, I dreamed about lexical analysis, nosebleeds, colds, and being terribly guilty for something or other.

I also dreamed about cities on Mars, an underground medieval civilisation which worshipped the circle of light it recieved from the outside world until a big stone seal with torches burning on it was placed over the hole, and the torches snuffed out, subsurface service stations on large asteroids with skies and red sand, white-painted-metal-and-glass above-ground entrance halls, and generally the adventures involved in the escape of a holographic boy from his creators.

You do have intresting dreams. I seem to eat drink (literally: tlak to mathmos over food) sleep maths atm but I've not started dreaming about it just yet ...

FWIW, my most interesting recent dream (and I only remember it because I told Fin about it in the morning) was of getting a letter from the sofa in the next room, and then finding I was unable to translate it because sofa thought isn't mappable in any form to human thought.

Sadly, no-- despite intentions, I've never got started on any of his stuff. EGB is still on my want-to-read list.

My school sent me a note saying they wanted to give me a book as a prize for 'outstanding GCSE results', so I filled out a form with EGB as the book I wanted - but I left the ISBN blank 'cos the only edition I found was one that had a review saying that the paper wasn't as good on this edition (too flimsy or summat). I'm not sure I handed it in to the right place tho - I looked for the teacher I was meant to hand it to, couldn't find her, and dropped it into an envolope on the wall which was full of other forms about something similar, but not entirely the same.

My secret? Trying to understand some code doing some basic lexical stuff late at night, then going straight to sleep, did the first bit...

...but the rest of it is just my miswired brain :). Oh, and having way too many blankets helps.

If it's remembering the dreams that's the problem, to properly remember a dream you need at least half an hour after you wake up but before you hear/see/feel much to run through it again; waking up to an alarm, or someone calling, generally kills them off quite a bit, as does turning over or anything. (I have an advantage here, 'cos my parents get up half an hour before me so I'm gently woken up by their alarm from the other room, and hence have time to remember.)

No fair, I haven't had an interesting dream like that for ages, but that was about a man named 'fudge' in a yellow spandex catsuit, who flew over the washing line and hit the ceiling of the world.

Did you tell Fudge about that?

Sadly, I don't think it was the Fudge we know. It actually looked a lot like Wolverine tho.

But I'll tell him anyway :)
