Bah. My Psion ran out of juice already. No NaNo for me today. (I'm beginning to dislike our current crop of rechargeable batteries - despite being meant to be better than the last set, they only seem to work for a couple of days, whereas the others would last for weeks. I'm not sure if it's the fault of the batteries or because I've been using the Psion more, though.)

Have you considered putting another set of batteries in your bag?

I used to, but the spare batteries have recently had a habit of not working either when I put them in, as if they've somehow been discharged when in my bag (which due to falling apart doesn't have any pockets left in which I can properly isolate them from random metal objects). This does not strike me as a good thing to allow to happen in my bag, so I've taken to not carrying them most of the time (unless I know I absolutely need my Psion that day, in which case I check they work in the morning and they tend to last half a day).

Random box (e.g. a matchbox) and some cloth or tissue to wrap them in?
