http://hogwarts.dune.net/ is what I've been wasting most of my time on lately. I think today is the last day for character creation. In fact, it might be over now. I should've posted this earlier, sorry. (Although it won't appeal to most of the Potter fans on my friendslist because it's strictly G-rated :).)

Grr, this is the 3rd time I've tried to post this - school computer time is wrong, and I adjusted it last time, and I forgot to adjust it again. What's wrong with posting in the past without checking 'backdate' anyway?

Oh, and IE should have mouse gestures.

I think it's an attempt to stop double-/multiple-copies of posts (it compares the time on your new post against the time of your previous post, or something).

You could always 'backdate' it, then edit the post to remove the 'backdate' option, if that's any easier ;)

Sorry, yes, I think I was confusing it with something else that I read about at the same time.

There is a reason though (and I think I'm remembering the right one, this time): apparently LJ gets a lot of support requests along the lines of "I just posted, but I can't see the post anywhere, is LJ broken?" from people who've not noticed the time is off on their computer.

Makes sense, really, I suppose.

There are non-right mouse button ones, but yes: mouse gestures are gestures performed with the mouse that issue commands to the browser (e.g.: hold down rmb (right mouse button) while dragging down, new window, rmb will dragging left, same as clicking the back key, etc).
