The Party At The Dexters'

In which Chess is in danger of being accused of having a life, but avoids this accusation by admitting to having tactics for Battleships.

We weren't that late, and so there were a few people around but they hadn't started on the food yet. Someone had prepared us some sandwiches to take along with the picnic eggs that Neil's mother had bought for us. There was lots of food! worth a mention is the frozen mini chocolate eclairs and the melon. I chatted to Michael for a bit then went to watch the ppl playing chess. I ended up being roped into a game with, and losing to, one of the smallest boys there. I seem to sense a pattern here. Then we sang a bunch of worship songs, which was cool, and prayed for some ppl that I don't really know, and then we got out the Battleships sets. Chris and (reese?) played two games first - the first one was ended prematurely becaues (reese?) cheated (he made his carrier sidestep when it would have been hit). Chris won the second, after taking some tactical advice from me. I then proceeded to beat Neil at battleships by applying the tactics, although not in their perfect form.

Fiona and Katie were about to start playing Battleships when Allison was carted off 'cos it was late despite the fact she was in the middle of a game (of chinese checkers), and we were informed it was thundering outside and decided to go before Neil fell asleep entirely and so definately couldn't drive us home.

reese? What?

There was a Rhys present (well it sounds similar, okay, more similar than than the other options), but Andrew was the one playing battleships.

Well, I had it in my head for ages that 'Carys' was spelt 'Karis' [1] so I guess I'll have to let you off for that one.

A Google on Kharis offered me a bellydancer, and several films about Mummies (the Egpytion sort [2]).

Tryting searching for you and Kharis reveals that bellydancer.com have someone called 'Michelle' working for them, and that you are apparently a beautiful woman in a poor copy of the Kharis Mummy film.

Any points for effort?

Neil

[1] Which explains why I abbreviate her name to K
[2] Didn't the Egyptions have mothers then Mum?
