Further to my previous meme:

* The car did not break down and I didn't even have to drive it and I remembered my headphones so not to irritate my dear husband with my character playlist and I did not accidentally leave my Ipod on all week so I could listen at the end too

* Camping was surprisingly non-awful although I did somehow manage to hilariously fail at getting into my sleeping bag on the second night so badly that said dear husband had to disentangle it and do the zip up for me - I blame the Port and the Running About Like A Lunatic

* My voice did not go away and in fact sent several people cowering away from Numenon's Parade Ground Voice

* I got to sort out the talking-in-downtime stuff which in fact significantly informed certain actions at the event :-)

* I was only physically broken at breakfast times and didn't once think 'fuck I blew that moment totally because I screwed up OOC and let my character down again'

* There was only one brief bout of mournfully wandering around the field hoping that something interesting happens, and I used it to go and get lunch

* I did indeed make the Hilarious Prop, it looked awesome and didn't fall to bits, several people mentioned it, someone put it together, and it was serendipitously made in just the right way for me to be a Big Emo Angel with it later on in the event...

* Whilst I did have to hurriedly improvise a make-up job for one form, and couldn't wear the ball mask I'd brought because it would have destroyed my soul symbol, it all actually worked out really well kit-wise (and I actually managed to use every item in my box!)

* More than about about 20% of the field did in fact get themselves killed hilariously, or at least have a pretty good go, and I was quite involved in two out of three of the most hilarious incidents...

* My character got to hideously break down and tell someone The Truth, for at least one value of The Truth, although she still didn't get to relate her Angsty Backstory to anyone :-).

* My character got to have Deep Philosophical Conversations with four out of five people I wanted them to have Deep Philosophical Conversations with, and they were pretty awesome, if a little brief in some cases

* I didn't end up being killed on sight by anyone, but I did manage 'find an appropriate excuse for setting up Dramatic Turning Point', 'be violently discorporated without having to ask', 'roleplay that execution hurts enough that my friendly executioner apologises profusely', and 'drink an alchemical concoction', as well as the bonus goals 'hide from Auriel because you think he's going to tell you off', 'manifest as every form I had kit for' and 'have a hilarious and slightly awkward scene in the Chamber of Delights'.

My tendency to Talk About My Character runneth over and I am writing some fic which seems to have turned into a bit of an epic...

It is getting on for Maelstrom O'Clock! I normally jump on the Event Anticipation Meme, but I'm afraid this one might be a bit short and pessimistic.

I will probably have a Tolerable event if all of the following occur:

1. The car does not break down.
2. I do not fail hard at camping and have to come home early.
3. The respiratory illness which has been threatening to materialise doesn't leave me incapable of speech or completely destroy me to the point of needing to go home early.

I may have a Good event if the following occur:

1. I get to finish the conversations I should have had with people over the season before time in
2. I do not cry into my breakfast at any point
3. I do not blame myself for IC failure or get OOC upset about it
4. I do not run completely out of things to do and end up reduced to mournfully wandering around the field hoping that something interesting happens
5. I manage to make my Hilarious Prop and someone likes it
6. I find all of my kit and do not suffer any kind of There Is A Hole In This / My Soul Symbol Is 'Illegible Squiggle' fail

I might have a Great event if any of the following occur:

1. More than about 20% of the field get themselves killed hilariously, or at least have a pretty good go
2. My character gets to hideously break down and tell someone The Truth, for various values of The Truth
3. My character gets to have Deep Philosophical Conversations with the people I want them to have Deep Philosophical Conversations with
4. I actually manage to complete any of my IC or OC goals for the event / the character, including 'get declared kill-on-sight by at least one group'...
